I was listening to YG 400 and was wondering... where have I heard this style flow before, and then it hit me! Alot of West Coast artists do this and I have no Idea why but I like it. Why do LA Rappers randomly shout out Gangbangers we never heard of in the middle of a song?

Shouting out active, known high level bangers on wax back in 96 was quite out there when you think about it. Especially since the net and we've discovered what they were about and how they handled things...
