I actually think the title of the series is a misnomer; the Spaniard woman the title refers to was never a slave. The slaves actually saved her from a burning building as a child.

I'm tired of slave narrative movies in the U.S. ................... but I would be interested in seeing T'oussaint and related contemporaries story, an updated movie on Zumbi of Palmares in Brazil, maybe a maroon story from South America, and then a picture on the Arab slave trade in Africa ( gone to be extremely hard to watch).

Came across this show on accident. Pretty good so far
