He's awesome from an art standpoint but I would still put Spielberg above him.

Schlinders list was basically perfect.

I've begun to think Barry Lyndon is his best film.

Sometimes I do actually think Kubrick was from another dimension. The shyt just isn't ordinary.

It's a slow but very beautiful film. Feels like a visual novel.

I also recently seen one of his earliest films, The Killing which was :blessed:

It has the GOAT heist I've ever seen in a film. Well worth checking out.

Spartacus and The Killing are pretty fukking awesome as well

That said...I'd go with Wilder, Hitchcock and Kurosawa as my top 3.

Very dope top 3.

Wilder's run from the 40s-60s was just redic.

In some ways I think he's underrated because he made a lot of studio pictures and crowd pleasing joints. But he was a master at creating films that could be entertaining for a mass audience whilst having genuine depth and three dimensional characters.

The Apartment is still the GOAT rom-com. In fact calling it a rom-com is a bit of a disservice.
