I say this because I see a lot of people talking about kemet and how it was founded by black people and that's all good but what is the point to only keep talking about what they did in today's world? Unless you are telling a blind deaf and dumb brother/sister their history there's not much of a reason to keep bringing them up like it gives us power. Don't get it twisted, it's important to know this because knowledge is the foundation for all things in existence, but what are we going to do with this knowledge?
Once knowing that basic history, we gotta ask ourselves "how did they do...". That's equally important. Anyone who studies the egyptians knows they used mathematics. Mathematics does not lie, because it's based on problems and solutions. It was not their religion that built the pyramids, or the sphinx, or boats, or made medicine etc. So lets not get caught up in the religious characters of Osiris, Isis, Set etc and focus on their real culture, mathematics.
And this goes for every group of people that ever existed. Knowledge is the first thing one needs. After that you have to put what you learned into use. Knowledge is potential energy and wisdom is kinetic energy. Knowledge is like a person who knows he/she needs a job yet doesn't look. It's good that you know you need a job but....what are ya doing now? Wisdom is when you know you need a job and is looking for ways to make $$$. So it is with brothers and sisters talking daily about kemet or any other group that likes to talk about their history.
Dont go with the saying, knowledge is only power when you apply it.
