To be honest I wouldn't pay Kirk Cousins longterm. after this year let him be someone elses problem.
That said this is a real case of the NFLPA needs to see that franchise tag should be removed outright, teams want a chance to keep someone let them have the ability to pay for certain players at a 20 mil max cap hit or some type of RFA where they can match.

So they only offered him 2 years? Are the details of the deal out? If so, they fukked up. But if this was part of a larger 4/5 year deal then fukk Kirk.
Honestly breh I just want this era to be over. Loosing D-jax & Garcon will hurt us tremendously and the defense still won't be better. They should've just swallowed their pride and traded his average ass.

People like cooley and others want to point to numbers, but in big moments dude always comes up small, either way I will take every starting QB in our division over Windy Cousins.

The 'skins will take a step back and Windy will wish he was getting that contract next year. Looking at the makeup of our team, this isn't the year to bet on yourself..

He's getting $24M this year

I think they were gonna give him $29M guaranteed next year and after that be able to cut him without penalty over a 4-5 year deal
