Criminal activity deserves jail time. Is barking a criminal activity? Why is the dog not arrested? Does he get to use self defense too?

no no no we have to stop playing these stupid games , defending dumb behavior

Cops were responding to a disturbance at the club when, the 19-year-old linebacker walked up to police cruiser and barked at the police canine inside the car.

HE walked up to the police police
HE barked at the police dog

there was no cop harassment or going out there way to initially fukk with him

so HE deserves the consequences

he just got locked up 6 days ago, he should try to be as far away from police as possible.

Charges dropped as Sheriff says warning wouldve been suitable.

Now lets talk about how this cop was trying to ruin a young kid's life by having dumb ass arrests on his record when he had clearly more viable options. Should a cop like this be suspended? Fired? Fined? What should be the way to thwart such attempts?

we need to use better judgement to not put ourselves in these situations. glad the charges got dropped, but i think his college connects are the only reason.

As dumb as the action was, an arrest was unnecessary, a verbal warning is enough for that shyt. No idea why you'd bark at a fukkin police dog tho, that shyt is dumb.

But why are we okay with cops and the system doing that? Why is it okay to try to lock a kid up over somethin so fukkin stupid? I have dealt with more dumb shyt than that if I gotta drive my drunk friends home, fukk, or sober friends. Why do we all have to preface our comments about the cop, with acknowledging how stupid the act was?

To me the cop's action is FAR more stupid than the barking at the dog. Infinitely more stupid, that has real life consequences. Hell, he didnt even have to acknowledge the barking at the dog, and what wouldve happened? Kid woulda kept going to where he was going. The action of the cop is the REAL damn problem here because it carries real world consequences. But his poor judgement will never carry any consequences for him even though it has the potential to ruin another life.

And I dont think it was the connects that "got him off" there was nothing to be on the hook for. If you watch the video the cop was more than ecstatic to have nabbed himself a football player. If anything, football hurt him in this scenario.

definitely not saying i'm ok with the system being the way it is. what i am saying is that we know that's the way the system is for now. while we're working to change it we should act accordingly and not do things that will get us fukced up. why antagonize the police when you know they can pull rank and get you fukced up? if the dog had gotten out the car and bitten him guess who would be paying his hospital bills...not the police. and don't let him have hurt the dog trying to get it off him, then he gets charged with assaulting a police officer. i'm not saying that we should accept the way things are, i'm saying we should acknowledge that we know they're that way while we're working to change them and avoid getting caught in the system at the same time. seems pretty simple to me.

and if dude wasn't a star first string player with boosters, alumni, and a huge money making program on his side it's way more likely he would still be dealing with a charge. if he was second or third string he might still be dealing with that charge.

i'm all for "fighting the power" but doing it in a smart way. what dude did was dumb and could have ended up way worse than it did.

nikkas do not realize...THE COPS ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND.

A cop will not blink twice before putting a blemish on your record via a petty arrest. Who gives a fukk if it ruins your life, in their mind you are just a savage or a potential "perp" anyways.
