Khan: If No Mayweather, No Chance I'll Face Brook

British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is still holding out hope for a the opportunity to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.



If Mayweather decides to fight someone else, Khan says there is no chance that he's face domestic rival, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 25KOs) before the year is out.Khan will instead pursue a return date, in the United States, in November or December. He plans to speak with his adviser, Al Haymon, in the coming days to discuss the options for the fall and to obtain a status on the Mayweather fight.



"If I don't get the September fight I'd like to be back out again in November or December like normal. I'll be looking at those dates instead. But if I don't get the Mayweather fight there is still no chance whatsoever that I will fight Kell Brook before the end of the year. It will have to be a big one and I'll leave it to Al Haymon. Al will give me a call this week hopefully to let me know who it will be. It will probably be back in the States again," Khan told Sport 360.

I cannot stand his crabby, entitled ass either. He know he'll get his knocked off by all the top dogs so just raps and raps but has Mayweather said his name in public? I don't recall but I can recall. I know he tweeted about the poll but never publicly acknowledged him. In that statement he said this year. He's holding out for Money & if he doesn't get him will get another soft touch this year to carry him till he fights a top WW next year. Which would probably be Brook who brings in more money than all others but Mayweather

No it doesn't. He just said he won't fight Brook this year. If he doesn't get Mayweather in September, he can fight somebody else this year and wait as the Brook hype hopefully builds and builds and fight him next year at the hype's apex as opposed to fighting him in November or something and it not being as big as it potentially could be.
