Who haven’t fallen victim to the pitfalls Bayley, Sasha, American Alpha, The Revival have fallen victim to........What did they have to make them more successful?
- Sasha may be a 4-time champion, but she and others got sacrificed to make Charlotte. Also, Sasha got over in NXT as a heel. She's a face on the main roster.
- Bayley (and to an extent Becky Lynch) got sacrificed to make Alexa. Her match at Extreme Rules basically killed her momentum and her booking has been shyt. Think about this: Bayley, the most likable woman on the roster, is actually in the wrong during her slow-burn feud with Sasha.
- American Alpha shouldn't have been called up as early as they were. Pushed too fast too soon. But, they missed a potential gold mine with a reincarnation of Team Angle.
- Revival won't work unless the tag division is taken seriously -- meaning, a thrown together team of former rivals shouldn't be the tag champions, even if it worked with the Bar. Braun Strowman and a child, as cool as it was, shouldn't be tag champions -- with them as a cornerstone. Didn't help that the injury bug hit them when they had the initial spark.
Now, some people flounder in NXT and thrive on the main show -- Alexa, Nia, Elias, etc. -- but what it boils down to? If the WWE wants you to be prominent, you WILL be prominent whether the fans want it or not, and whether you're the best option or not.
Meanwhile, Owens beat down John Cena in his first night. They took their time with Nia Jax. Charlotte was going to be a big deal regardless of her ability because of who daddy is. Nak gon' Nak, even though he was kind of
before he went on his Shoryuken spree versus AJ Styles.
They had the right people fighting for them, basically.
