UConn men’s head basketball coach Kevin Ollie and his wife are apparently calling it quits after 16 years of marriage.

According to records at Hartford Superior Court, Stephanie Ollie filed for a divorce from the famed former pro and NCAA championship -winning coach last month.

The two met while they were both students at UConn in the mid 1990s. They were married in September, 1998.

They live in Glastonbury and have two teenage children, Jalen and Cheyenne.

Contacted Thursday, Stephanie Ollie said she had no comment on the divorce filing.
According to court documents, she is represented by Mahaney Geghan & Sullivan in Waterbury .

Kevin Ollie is represented by the Hartford firm of Budlong & Barrett LLC.

Ollie, who turned 42 a week ago, was named the head basketball coach at UConn in 2012, succeeding longtime hall of fame coach Jim Calhoun. In May, Ollie signed a new five-year, multi-million dollar contract with the university.

Stephanie Ollie, who turned 40 earlier this month, is a cardiac nurse.

Stephanie Ollie filed for divorce in November saying in her two-page filing that the marriage had "broken down irretrievably and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation." Kevin Ollie agreed in a cross-complaint filed on Dec. 11.

They are seeking joint custody of their two teenage children and an equitable division of their property. Stephanie Ollie also is asking for child and spousal support.

She has a child with dude. Every woman with a child asks for support, unquestionably. We don't know why the marriage broke down or who was the initiator. Therefore speculation about the marriage is an exercise in futility. My mom should have divorced my dad a thousand times. She hasn't and probably won't but she would have had more than ample reason to do so.:snoop:

True, but that's the difference between CHILD SUPPORT, and SPOUSAL SUPPORT. The child support is for the child, spousal support is so she can still live the lifestyle he gave her, without him being a part of her life. :stopitslime:

She waited till he signed that new contract

First Monday in January is the highest day all year for divorce proceedings to begin
