Stop it.

Cena was already over as a heel long before he started winning all the time. THEN he made a face turn and became the flagship of the company, at which point the smarks jumped ship and the kids got on. But let's not pretend like his entire career is manufactured.

You mean the first dude to be put on when the brand split era started and didn't get any reaction till he got that rap heel thing going on? :ld:

Fine, it wasn't. But you can stop acting like Sting was just some puppet who was a product of great writers when he has always had great matches, feuds, gimmicks and was a fantastic draw and completely over when he was riddled with shytty booking and writing for most of it. Seriously the best writing he got was the lead up to Starrcade '97, and out of all the old WCW heads he was the one who survived, well him and Flair.

Rock N' Roll keeps guys out for political reasons. What political reasons would possibly keep kid killer "in" on a recall vote yet Stink can't get anywhere close to the required percentage?

I was going for the fact that Hall Of Fames don't matter in the grand scheme of things, and I think you helped proved it.

Either way this shyt really doesn't matter. I think Sting's career doesn't just speak for itself but dismisses all these shallow criticisms by itself. I honestly don't get the Sting hate, especially for someone who didn't bury anyone awfully and wasn't an awful person backstage and has brought some of the best TV wrestling has ever gotten. But to each his own I guess :yeshrug:

My big problem with Sting is that his career fell into obscurity because the dude refused to go to the E. While I respect that, dude was my favorite wrestler as a kid and it makes me pissed I have to catch Total Nonstop Diaarhea to watch him. I mean what has he done on the grand stage in over 10 years? Jack shyt.

I think the only people hating on Sting are the workers and historians who never saw Sting make money with anybody other than Nwo/Hogan. They're the ones with the vote for these hall of fames. They see Sting as a one-hit wonder. Caught on with probably the most fantastic gimmick of the 90's. Kinda fizzled out and put over troublesome midcarders like Vampiro because he didn't see them as a threat.

I'd probably vote for the guy but I don't have a vote :manny:

Let's be straight though, WWE straight up buried WCW stars. DDP went from main event to motivational speaker and Goldberg was mishandled to say the least. Booker was the only one who shined and that took him a while, Scott Steiner didn't deserve to be brought in due to how annoying and lazy he got so I was cool with that. Let's not forget the horrible nWo which I'm sure Shawn Michaels was embarrassed to be a part of. Vince's ego made sure that he was going to make WCW look weak even if it meant taking down already established stars who would have brought him a lot of money.

No doubt, as soon as HBK showed up in black & white you could tell it was one of the final "F-U" to WCW from VKM. :laff:

I'm not sure about given cats like Guerrero, Benoit, Jericho, and Mysterio turned out right. You mentioned Booker as well. Y'all should quit with the Vince buried WCW stars as that makes no fukking sense with WCW already dead. Why would Vince give a fukk? It is more likely that they didn't fit the E style or something happened to make Vince not like them.

A good example is Raven. Dude took Shane to clubs and shyt and Vince didn't like that and didn't want Shane involved in the drug lifestyle he was into in the 80s.

Vince should have rolled with that. Raven as a DX member :noah:

I don't understand how Sting is not in a pro wrestling hall of fame?

How the fukk does that happen?

I kinda get the argument but I need to know who else is in the hall?

Pretty much everybody except Sting, Sid, and Ultimate Warrior.

He is a current star, in our world. He's a top confidant of the EVP of Talent, WWE. Matters more than some industry stalling gig down in Universal.

Nah...Sting is making what? 7 figures...Nash? No one knows what he does and he damn sure doesn't make 6 figures by any stretch of the imagination.
