Above the fray.
You don't know why a thread on the invasion of Haiti would include a discussion about Kenya's present situation :jbhmm:
The former leader of the country, the present leader of the country, the United Nations, and the regional organization of countries approve of the Kenya lead multi national force coming in.

"Invasion?" How ?

Is this a real question? :mjlol:

Man y'all gotta be playing.
Will ask again. The last prime minister asked the international community for help controllingthe violence. The UN approved the call, Caricom tried to mediate the political situation AND supports multi national forces quelling the violence and some are sending forces themselves , and the current leader has signed off on and welcomes the assistance to control the violence.

Invasion is not the appropriate word.

Have the IMF policies actually helped a country? Their answer to everything seems to be "raise taxes"

Europeans try to control everybody through the money system.

Countries would be better off getting away from the debt/slave system.

That's why they keep sending weapons and money to all of these countries. Get them in debt and they feel like they can tell them what to do.

these dudes are really just infantilizing African nations...

they don't think an African nation should be allowed to make decisions on what they want

somehow a coli breh who takes the bus to his retail job knows what Kenya needs better than the leaders of Kenya...

I think that Kenya needs their own troops need to invade Kenya and lead a stabilizing force in Kenya.

Multiple deaths reported as police clash with anti-tax protesters in Kenya

The protesters are rallying against proposed tax hikes.

Yeah I don't.

Kenyans are not out in the streets because of the Kenyan forces being sent to Haiti nor is Haiti likely to be largely impacted by what happens to Ruto.

The china loans actually have some things to show for them.

Not true at all ... at least not in the most important area: revenue generation but they are great at building infra to extract resources! :pachaha:

The train from Nairobi to Mombassa for example does not generate revenue but it (couple with other Chinese loans) make a large portion of Kenyan external debt that China has been fairly stern on repayment.

If the Chinese loans were low interest with endless capital then IMF would never be in the picture. Not to say Eurobonds arent deadly and a key cause.
