Brehs since BMF went down there and bossed up been running to Atlanta (and before)

BG called out Birdman for it.

Too Short got called out for it for years but just embraced it more.

Drake, Mr. Houstalantavegas, definitely aligned himself with Atlanta rappers for credibility, and in exchange they got the stimulus package.

That shyt will ring for years. And for the record I'm not calling ATL some hoes or soft at all, I'm saying rappers and people running down there like it's mecca is transparent asf.

Above the fray.
Locked in the slammer?
No!, popped up in Atlanta

@op

The people you mentioned moved to ATL for different reasons, and at different stages of that city's cultural rise. When Short moved there, it wasn't what it would become yet.

Kendrick was pulling every card, and that was the swagger jacking card he pulled in that song. More to do with Drake than the city and other artists.

It's hard to avoid because they have access to so many resources now

It'll take labels to take their money elsewhere for atlanta not to be as prominent, which I don't think will happen in our lifetime

Remove Atlanta from the equation and Drake never gets wrecked on wax by Kendrick. Without Atlanta, "Like That" which was the catalyst for the long awaited battle between Drake and Kendrick doesn't happen. Not an indictment on Atlanta at all. Technically, Kendrick aligned himself with Atlanta on "Like That". Even then, Kendrick's first number ones were produced by Mike Will (Atlanta).

Drake had been in Atlanta since 2009.

Jay Z teamed up with Jermaine Dupri for "Money Ain't A Thang", which was a catalyst for his meteoric 1998 rise to superstardom.

Fat Joe said "it took a Down South brother to bring your boy out" on "Lean Back" remix featuring and produced by Lil' Jon.

Drake has never lived in Atlanta, only worked with artists from the region. And he’s worked with nikkas from:

London (Headie One, Dave, Skepta, Giggs), Seattle (Yeat),
LA (Kendrick, YG, Game),
NYC (Fivio, Nikki, French, Jay, Rocky),
Houston (Bun B, Beyoncé, Travis Scott),
Chicago (Kanye, Lil Durk, Keef)
Toronto (Weeknd, Party, Majid Jordan,

nikkas focusing on Atlanta cause they still on Kenny’s dikk not realizing some of Atlanta’s biggest artists like Thug, Savage, Migos have all stated how much Drake helped elevate their platforms and made them way richer.

Drake had to be capable and have the ability to make this much music with such a large array of artists from all of these cities. Many of these records from 2010 to now have been the soundtrack to our lives (if you been outside in the last decade). All this shyt you guys doing now to downplay his legacy cause you like Kendrick more is extremely weird
