this is why the majority of easily-accessible, mainstream hiphop music promotes ignorant and destructive/criminal behavior. Its not in their best interest to flood the airwaves with sounds and images that promotes positivity and unity amongst blacks. We're awakening to this tactic tho
Apparently "we" didn't "awaken" to this tactic during the seventies or sixties when the airwaves were largely controlled and cleanly
but there was still a proliferation of drugs and ghetto's.
I think it's a little more complex than "Dey music is bad, does dey lives is bad !"
