I don't buy that, even if he's sitting on a massive album. Even Drake can't do a full stadium tour.

My bet is that he's simply gonna add some stadium dates alongside arena dates. So instead of just doing the Crypto/Staples arena in LA he'll also do SoFi. I can see him selling out stadiums in Texas and NY too but that's about it.

Drake can definitely do a stadium tour but stadium shows suck for fans

I doubt that. Same with Travis, who claimed he was gonna do a stadium tour only for it to be arenas plus SoFi (49k capacity sell out)

Stadium tours work for fans as long as the stage is good. Beyonce's stages are always impressive, Taylor Swift does it very well, U2 kind of invented the best way to do it in the modern era. I'm not sure whether they're good for rappers though. Plus the costs are pretty insane, production wise. The impression I get from this news plus the little tidbits of rumors about the album (possible Weeknd and Rihanna features) make me think he's going all out with another DAMN type record. But I just don't think that's enough for a rapper to pull this off.

He's the hottest rapper in the world right now and even I don't think he should do a stadium tour. The people he's trying to perform for can't afford a ticket

He has the most streams?
I’m not trying to be that guy, or discredit Drake or his numbers…. But you can’t look at most streams for an artist like Kendrick. You have to look at output verses response…. He’s not dropping every year… rarely is featured in comparison to other rappers. But, when he drops, his numbers always hit. Even when you look at his conventional vs unorthodox albums.. What does that have to do with selling out a stadium in Nashville, St. Louis, or Minneapolis which is what you have to do in order to make this work financially. A lot of rappers have sold out MSG or Barclays multiple times in a week, doesn't mean they can sell out Met Life Stadium like Beyonce, who did it back to back. That's over 100k tickets across two nights, compared to 64k tickets across five nights for Drake. I just don't believe any rapper can do that. And before somebody brings up Jay...he can't do them without Beyonce. Never has.

How many arenas you know only hold 12K? Most arenas in major cities hold 18k-20k.
