The longevity of his songs at the top of the charts has been crazy as well, they weren't just hits for 1 or 2 weeks, this nikka spend entire seasons up there with his songs.

Luther and tv off were already at the top of the charts even before the superbowl :picard:

Tv off with a music video would make it 5.

His new album really is a cheat code, there's like 10 potential major hits :wow:

Incredible album for sure and masterful decision to perform GNX tracks at the Super Bowl with all of the dope easter eggs.

Kendrick is a poetic psychogenius :wow:

I’m not hating on Kdot but this kinda reminds me of when Nikki Minaj was running the rap game on the female side for years partly due to the lack of competition.

Except he's not only the first rapper to have 4 1 hits in the span of 12 months, he's also one of the very few artists that managed to get those hits despite one of the toughest competition ever on the charts.

Dude dropped NLU when some pop songs reached astronomical billboard points, making it impossible for any song to chart well, but it didn't prevent NLU to get multiple weeks at #1.

And he dropped his album at the worst time, during Xmas season; he still did damage.

It is well documented now that Kendrick actually faced the hardest competition a rapper ever faced on the billboard charts :yeshrug:
He never gave a fukk about release dates, like most other stars do.

Dude dropped his major debut same week as Taylor Swift. Dropped tpab despite a release mistake from his label, dropped a surprise album during Christmas season, dropped hit songs during the S week (highest points ever earned by pop songs, was also taylor swift season).

So yeah, there's nothing to compare, dude wasn't scared to drop...no other mainstream rapper will drop at the same time as Taylor Swift

And the only mainstream rapper that wasn't scared of dropping at the same time as major pop stars that were dominating the charts.

Dot went to war and made hip hop proud...tell them other rappers to keep dropping before or after the likes of Adele, Taylor and co, let Kendrick deal with them:myman:
