Sorry to make a new thread, but I’m a bit perturbed and, well, desperate because I didn’t realize KASPERSKY will be banned in ~ 8 days.
Love love love it and it’s the only thing I’ve used for at least 10yrs. Do you guys have any suggestions? Antivirus programs that you’ve been happy with?

I upped this thread because I currently use Kaspersky and this was announced:

No word if they are going to offer refunds for people who have subs but we have until September 29th to find a replacement. I was looking at Bitdefender Plus but I'm always up for suggestions.

Nothing will come close. They were incredibly effective and caught more state sponsored stuff than any other provider.

I use ESET but only because getting keys was easy. :yeshrug: A strong contender would be BitDefender as an alternative but again, doesn't have Kaspersky's chops. Its probably your best choice, though.

What do you do with your computer ?

If you do basic stuff and are careful with what you download or click, the default Windows antivirus should be more than enough.

Windows Defender is enough, for sure.

But an honest take from me, I think losing Kaspersky from a security perspective is bad. No other vendor was as good nor as dedicated to catching new shyt.
