Why Cap? :dwillhuh::dahell::why::what::mjcry:

NBA legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar said that Bill Maher doesn't deserve to be fired from HBO for his use of the n-word.

In his words:
"Intent is important," writes the NBA great and THR columnist, and the HBO host's use of the word merely shows poor taste — and it could even raise awareness of today's race issues.

I'm never going to challenge kareem blackness or heart on black racial issues, but these older black folks are starting to act real docile on these situations.

From Michael Eric dyson, to Kareem, WTF are these older Nikkas scared of?
Listen to Kendrick Lamar's Mortal Man when he speaks to Pac and listen to what Pac said.

Ask them. These old people have wisdom. Kareem went hard back in the day and I think I read somewhere that he couldn't get a coaching job cause of that.

Was Maher insensitive? Absolutely. Inappropriate? Definitely. Smug in appropriating the word for cheap humor? Check. Yet, there was no malevolent intent.

Maher is a worthy and incisive voice in political humor who made a mistake and apologized. Inadvertently, he caused the issue to be debated, raising awareness and hopefully sensitizing people. I just wish it was for an insight rather than an insult.

I don't agree with him, but I figure a lot of people won't read the article and the quote in OP doesn't really explain his reasoning.

I really don't understand what goes through the mind of these "hurry up and let me speak up for the white man :damn:" ass nikkas

:aicmon:

Now Kareem still that nikka but white people don't need y'all help... like this cracker about to be starving on the streets begging for loose change to eat if he get fired :heh:

Even if there was a possibility of one fukkin iota of my being that gave a fukk or felt any type of sympathy about any of these white folks "unfortunate" situations that they brought on themselves, I'm quickly reminded of the fact that they're going to be okay regardless and if not then they have only themselves to blame :yeshrug:

The thing is this is not a one time thing with Bill Maher. I am sure its hard for some of these people because they see Maher as a close friend
