DC animated movies used to be an event. What happened? :why:


They haven't done a good job building up any of their other IPs imo, not with the same charm as we saw with the Timm-verse 20 years ago or the first 2 seasons of Young Justice.

Hell, after the Timm-verse ended and they relaunched with the more violent New 52 era of one-off animated films, they had some hits like Flashpoint but a lot of the characters just felt wooden.

And the characters they did choose to build up/feature over and over and over (Damian, John Constantine) just felt like Gary Stus, overbaked with character protection.

And so here they are relaunching again, after they just got done relaunching with Apocalpyse War.

TOMORROWVERSE WAS SUCH A WASTE OF TIME.

THEY BARELY DID ANYTHING WITH IT
AND IT HARDLY HAD ANY CONTINUITY.
