My guess would be that they were abducted a while ago and went crazy from being in the simulation too long. Combine that with them not being the right quality for their "tests"(failed experiments), NOMAD/DAMON finally put them out of their misery.

shyt was weird but watchable. That twist was eh status since we didn't get any sort of information afterwards. Could have showed off more of the alien powers. All in all, 6/10.
