Do these back stories in every episode ever stop?

I thought it was just for season 1 so we can get to know the characters a bit more but I'm on episode 5 of season 2 and here we go again.

Down memory lane on how Jin and Sun meet

nikka I don't care about any of that!

I don't care about Jack and his surgeries, I don't care about Locke's daddy issues, I don't care about Hurley's bad luck and I sure as hell don't care Michael's struggle as a parent in Walt's life.

Just tell me whats going on in the island.

I am at the stage where I am considering skipping any more back stories.

Is that wise to do in the overall context of the show?

Bro....... the flashbacks on this show basically undermined the main plot for me. I left sometime around season 2.

I've been saying it since the show ended fukk David Lindelof and this show forever. Wasted years watching this shyt for nothing. He ruined the OG script for Prometheus which was amazing until he got his hands on it and fukked everything up.

Season 2 is weak but it gets better as the season comes along

They tighten up a lot of the plot and they introduce some of the best characters in this season

I wish we could bring back that final season thread. The game of thrones final season thread was tame compared to that.

To be fair to Lindelof, he was under Network tv restrictions to write filler for a 20 plus episode season

The Leftovers and Watchmen are better shows because HBO actually let show runners do their jobs
