Just sold the last of my physical media on craigslist

ripped my dvd collection a couple of months ago and got rid of my last 20 DVDs for $35 today , took me like two months to sell them for a second there didnt think there was a market for PM any more



now if i only i could get rid of these couple of hundred bootleg dvds i have

i gave dude a dvd storage case for free just to get him to buy them , now i need to find something to do with this duffle bag full of bootlegs

I got rid of all of my cases and transferred all of my games and dvds to carrying cases. I literally had a 30 gallon container filled with cases. I was so happy to be liberated of that filth. Be careful though, friend. Right now im very close to you and i need you to heed this warning. Backup, your backup. You are in a fragile state right now and you have to be aware of what happens if you're harddrive becomes flattened and crushed due to some unforseen accident. Get a backup for your backup. I say a 4 TB drive that you can put everything on in case theres an emergency.

so far i have been blessed friend i have a 750 gig external with my music and photos and a 1TB with my movies no issues, will be building a HTPC with redundant back up hopefully sometime this summer

O friend, i really hope your drive lasts that long. Please keep your drives save and treat them with care. It only takes one drop while the drive is writing data to begin a nightmare. Please obtain 1 master drive with enough space for everything, so these nightmare scenarios do not occur.

use mkv to "rip" the dvd

HandBrake: Open Source Video Transcoder

use handbrake to transcode it to MP4 verison ( playable on xbox and most other players)


700 dvd though like 30 dvds took me 5 days , what i did was just find links on and re-download them

word i need to do that shyt on a NAS. my goal is to have 0 physical media (besides textbooks) including PS3 games. all PC/MAC everything, space is a bigger commodity

just take a loss, and be ready to wait for months before someone bites, i sold 30 dvds for $35 and i only charged that much cause they came with two case logic dvd shelves , these were the dvds i sold
