Biographies can be hit or miss so I didn't know what to expect. It started off kinda slow but once the "incident" happened, it kicked in. Ted Kennedy as a character was complex. He wasn't portrayed like Trump as some just pure evil person. He was more like George Bush Jr.(for the 25 year old and younger you probably won't get the reference). Corrupt, flawed but sympathetic because he was so stupid. He and his team do alot to cover up the incident and although it's wrong, it doesn't even feel as evil. Heck even the parents of the woman who drowned didn't even hate him. So it was an interesting chracter despite the way the corruption was clearly though.

Acting wise, Jason Clark did his thing. As I said, he was complex. He potrayed him as a coward, stupid but at the same time sympathetic even though he didn't deserve it. Kata Mara who plays Mary Jo, was Kate Mara. If you're familiar with her I shouldn't have to explain it. But the best acting in here is Bruce Dern. Honestly, I think this niguh needs to get nominated again for Academy. He's not in the movie alot but his presence just changes the whole film. He's just incredible.

Overall, this well paced, good acting and satisfiying end. I honestly don't get why this was not released around Oscar time because it would deserve the buzz. Go see this joint if you're into these type of film.

Now, for those who saw the film this still was the funniest. This niguh was truly the Democratic verson of George Bush Jr.

I thought the way this film handled the unknown aspects of the story was excellent. Delicate and understated without sweeping it under the rug.
