I just wanted to write..

This is insane. Canada. The definition of an ally. We are beefing with Canada, but cheesing with Putin.

This entire MAGA saga has been unbelievable. From the day he came down the escalator. Now we got Musk running amok. I have moments when I can't believe this is real. Like, about 20 per day.

Here's my little spot of hope. If what I write is true, and Trump is doing it wrong (what "it"? Fill in the "it". EVERYTHING), then it will fail on its own and the ship will right itself.

Mind you, the correction will follow some devastating sequence of events.. but global society will heal itself. Especially American finances. The money tends to flow towards proven assets. Toward winners. Be they countries or corporations. And the global market ain't gonna let Trump and Elon wreck everything.

How that plays out. We shall see.

i think a lot of people dont care (yet) or have given up on the voting process

i dont know if the US could pull of making voting mandatory, but maybe they could offer some kind of reward for participating in the process? now that i typed that out, it sounds pathetic, but we gotta do something

the ranked choice voting people have some good ideas

but apathy will ultimately do us in

my city is doing the 50501 protest today. i hopped on our subreddit and saw people discussing what to chant... which led to what NOT to chant, then completely devolved into what language was "inclusive" or not. and of course others had to make it about trans people for some reason.
