Michael's narrative finally makes a little more sense, especially all that business with Roth. Some stuff is still hidden though for effect, but I can't believe how much they cut out of Michael's storyline.

That shyt had to be cut to make room for the Vito storyline, which makes the movie perfect in every way. How did you not understand Michael's story before reading the script? Its pretty clear from the movie and the book. Did you read the book?

the book>>>>>>>the movies

especially when you recognize the lines they changed from the book, to the movie

like the book says something like - "are you fukkin serious" moe green growled. 'i killed more men than you before i could jerk off" which is just gully as fukk :heh:

and then the movies like 'i made my bones when you were dating cheerleaders' :upsetfavre:

plus the book went way deeper into johnny fontaines life, the whole young vito/fanucci shyt reads better than it was acted, pretty much everything was just better

No one knows how to google. The hymen roth plot was only in the films, not the novel. Roth was pretty insidious; not only did he try to kill Michael, send him to Prison, made his own brother betray him, but he also tried to Bankrupt Michael's funds and keep him out of the deal (only found in the script). So that part when Roth says the 2 million never got to the island and the next scene where Michael is pacing around looking tense (it's because Roth actually intercepted the courier who took the 2-3 million that was skimmed off the top of a corleone casino and stole that shyt straight up from him). Also Questadt's revelation as a paid politician belonging to Roth is more devastating as the script makes clear that Michael knew that he was being investigated prior to going to Cuba, so he invited all the politicians along with Questadt to join in the festivities in the hopes of bringing them to his side; the fact that Fredo knew all about this while entertaining Questadt makes more sense while Michael disowned him on the spot. Other than that, there are some good scenes where Michael becomes increasingly paranoid about traitor and even calls home asking for the money to be sent (not knowing it was intercepted) and gets Rocco on the line; he's so paranoid he hangs up immediately. Also we see a good scene between Tom and Neri where it's clear Neri would do anything for Michael, which is why Rocco probably got kicked to the bushes and assigned to assassinate Roth. Some more interesting things that make the plot more coherent are also found. Just check it out.

In the movie the money clearly makes it to his hotel with Alfredo.

He also suspects Alfredo from the beginning, right after the failed assasination he knows what’s up

Another difference is Roth wanted him in the deal and seemed annoyed that he was reluctant and scaring other partners.

West where the Sunsets
My favorite film series even if 3 is a little weak. Watched the show about the making of part 1, then checked the movies again. Might have to revisit the original part 3.
