Just ordered Pokemon Sun and a 3ds

After I complete that, what game should I go for? The Hoenn remakes or X and Y? I’ve heard X and Y had zero replay value so I’m sort of leaning towards Ruby.. is there a third instalment like Emerald I can shoot for instead of those?

Also, can I transfer DS Pokemon over?

X and Y are trash. You could do the remakes but don't burn out on Pokémon too quickly.

You can transfer DS Pokémon to the 3ds you have to subscribe to Poke bank. It's an app in the e-shop.

e-shop on 3ds? That’s new to me.. only owned the lite. Still waiting on 3ds to come, due mid week..
I’m cool with steaming Pokemon. Prolly complete the elite four in 2-3 days. The Hoenn is my favourite region too

I found Soul Silver boring after finishing Kanto... not enough trainers to get EXP to fight the elite four/red. Too much grind

Thats the common complaint ive seen on gaming forums, that there is alot of hand holding in the gen 7 (sun moon) games. older games apparently have less of it.

Gen 1-4 was literally straight into jump with a couple blocks of text to tell you what to do. This game even makes you go to a trainer school

Let’s go is definitely for “new comers” and game freak has said as much. The 2019 Pokémon game is said to be for “experienced “ players and “more traditional”

BW1 was meh. E4 was boring. Might cop the 2nd though
