The match was entertaining, but people overrate it because this was during Undertaker's terrible ass reign of terror post-Invasion. He was burying and squashing everyone left and right, and Jeff Hardy randomly almost won the title so people marked out for it.
People say that made Jeff Hardy a main event star, but it didn't. He left the WWE in 2003 & went to TNA. He came back in 2006 & didn't end up becoming the main eventer that match supposedly made him until 2008 or 2009.
