never saw a single harry potter film

should i bother or nah?
just depends what you're into. the first movie is kind of a kids movie (but is still good) directed by christopher columbus who did home alone. the movies get more mature as they go on. The third movie Prisoner of Azkaban is fukking incredible, Alfonso Cuaron directed. Honestly they're all pretty good if you're into magic and fantasy type stuff. very entertaining. Also music from John Williams.

the first couple seem like your typical child friendly fantasy story, they get more darker and serious from 3 onwards, overall it’s pretty good, I was the same age as those kids and these movies ran for like 8 years so I have alotta nostalgia with em

Speaking of which, and I know it’s fantasy and all, but even at a young age I always called bullshyt on that big ass fukking serpant being able to sneak around completely unnoticed through the fukking piping lol

also completely co sign op with Harry/Ginny...there were way more attractive girls in that school

This explains it :ohhh:

I'm watching all the Harry Potter movies on HBOMAX right now for the first time. I've seen bits and pieces over the years but never sat down and watched them because I thought they would be terrible compared to the books (which I really liked).

But last week when I was watching Potter 1 and 2, I couldn't shake the feeling that I felt like I was watching a Home Alone movie, ESPECIALLY when it got to the holiday scenes.

Christopher Columbus is a frickin genius.
