:wow:

I recently cut my locs and I’m a product junky .

So hard to try and find what works for me .

I’ve tried a lot of shyt already in this short month I cut my hair.

I have very soft hair .

People couldn’t believe how soft my hair was with my locs .

I never did shyt but wash it and use Indian hemp grease :russ:.

Now my hair doesn’t know what to do .

I have no idea what my hair type is cause it’s three different kinds on my hair .

So I’m anywhere from 3c in the back to 4a in the front and middle and 4b on the side sides .

Back of my head has very fine loose curls no product needed and it’s just curls .

The front has loose curls too but not like the back . Actually the front also has mixed in tight curls .

The sides has tight curls and the sides frizzes the most :mjcry:.

I had a fade so it’s growing I know that might change as my hair grows .

Anyway I used the ORS shampoo and conditioning packs I got from Walmart .

Side note thank goodness for sample packs because I’m tired of buying jars of shyt that doesn’t work .

The deep condition was dope my hair finally feels as soft as before .

I think I’ll include this every other wash day .

Now I need to define my curls .

The only thing that really works is
mielle pomegranate and honey leave in conditioner.

My curls usually pop with this stuff .

Shea moisture manuka mask and the gel is good too . My curls pop and the products are very light especially that gel .

Y’all got any help for me to help define my curls while maybe keeping some softness .

I know that’s asking a lot because you can’t have both :

Also the manuka line is the only thing that still has my curls popping somewhat on day three :

Everything else is a big meh for me so far .

I also just tried aunt Jackie’s curl boss that was :beli:.

Shea moisture curl smoothie is cool .

Forgot to say I think I’m high porosity my hair gets wet fast and gets dry fast .

I try to use no more than 2 products at a time, because then I can’t tell which one isn’t working.

Right now I use Maui brand Shea butter shampoo and Proclaim brand Shea butter conditioner. I rarely condition and wash at the same time. If I went swimming or the beach, I’ll do both.

For moisture and curls, Ive been using Cantu coconut curling cream and I like it for the most part. My curls stay defined and moisturized, but it’s kinda crunchy once it’s dry. I’m going to play around with an oil or sheen to see if that helps.

I was rocking mainly with Shea moisture, but I like this Maui brand and it’s a few dollars cheaper. I’m thinking of getting sister locs once my hair grows out more.

I’m a super product junky I bought something else today .

Tried african pride leave in , hair lotion and olive oil .

I don’t like it :mjcry:

My hair just difficult :to:.

I’ve tried keeping it simple and my hair is just frizzy.

The curls are there but the top is frizzy .

Maybe I need a moose because gel isn’t really working all that well . They define my curls sometimes but the frizz is there .

When I want good curl definition a homemade protein conditioner does it for me. Egg, honey and olive oil.

Seals the cuticle, add shine and amazing definition.

You cut those 2 locs off :wow:

I cosign the protein treatment to help frizz. I do one every 6 or so weeks using Aphoogee 2 minute reconstructor. I leave it in for only 10ish mins, rinse and follow up with a deep conditioner. My curls tend to clump a little more after doing it.

As for my go to products, I've been loving Camille Rose honey hydrate leave in and TGIN honey miracle hair mask. My hair is so soft and moisturized using those 2.

I don't really care about definition because my hair is fine and frizz makes it look thicker but I did try out the Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Gel and it gave me a lot of definition without making my hair super crunchy. I used too much so it did flake a little bit after a couple days but it wasn't bad.

I go to ultra beauty and get the milk shake packages. A little goes a long way and I sit under my dryer.
