What do I need to know?

I never played a ME game before, any tips. Whats a good class to play as. I was thinking about Vangaurd.

You really should cop 1 & 2 before you play 3. I played 3 first, then got 1 & 2 and now I'm playing 3 again.....much better after having played the others...

i was a hardcore ME1 stan, thought it was going to be the GOAT triology ever. then ME2 came around, noticed that only a few of my choices mattered, but i was still slightly immersed in the environment.

i just picked up ME3 a few weeks back and i can't even force myself to play it. it seems like the graphics that were once top notch look now. the gameplay changed to the point where it feels like an arcade shooter. i couldn't even get into it, man. i might try later but as it stands, they ruined a great franchise.

Yea looking back now 3 was the worst of the series by far.....the first one I played through at least 5 times. That game had me hooked big time. I'd def have it in my top 10. Second wasn't quite as good but I still played it through multiple times cause the gameplay was fun for the time. 3rd one I haven't touched since I beat it the first time...I couldn't even go back to play through for the paragon choices (played renegade first time). I dunno what it was...I think it was mostly that there was literally no improvements from 2 to 3. Gameplay was the same, paragon/renegade was the same and story was disappointing. Overall I'd say its the second worst game outta bioware after dragon age 2. And hell I even played DA2 through more than once.

Just watch you tube vids of the first one
2nd one was dope
3rd one bioware fukked up the story, but the combat is amazing. Just play the multiplayer
