How the fukk do I map this thing? :why:

I fukked up, I'm so use to maschine software and how easy the hard/software works together

I see why people complain about akai, it's so old school

I like the physcial step sequencer for basic patterns

The pads are a little too sensitive for my taste but its ok

Ableton isn't too difficult but I can't for the life of me figure out FL mapping. All I can do now is play and record sounds on the pads, the knobs and faders are untouched so far

Had it for 2 days

this is it for reference

:wtf: how much was this?

Its obviously a controller...i wouldnt only cop a product that would allow you to use akai software ala studio/ren/touch...im gonna check some stuff out..i imagine this will get the job done but it just seems crazy

the akai software is probably worth having the studio around. you can use the studio (hardware) as a controller for fl just like the mpd232 but you can also diversify and use that software too which is cool

God Speed manika.... I'm on that MPC 1000 wave...

edit: since 2007

definitely should have gotten a better keyboard controller or a renaissance :francis:

dont have the studio. i would have returned this and gotten the renaissance if i hadn't registered it

I think you can return it, depending on where you got it. I know, well ive heard that you can unregister your shyt if your going to return/resell it because people have to do it if they trade/sell their ren/studio cause the akai software wont work if the serial is used

dont give up on it too early, it can be made to work with ableton/fl/reason

@stealthbomber ive been watchin mad vids on the mpd 232 and once you have it sync'd with fpc it's pretty dope. i was apprehensive but having watched some vids its dope as shyt

i basically just searched for it under youtube and i watched various reviews and tutorials as well as people using it for songs and live flips...i kind of thought this was akai's universal pad controller for the market, but all the universal pad controllers are really trying to be mpc's id say this is their official pad controller and everything else is a knock off...if you can get this jiving with fl or logic or ableton theres really no need for the akai software that comes with the ren/touch/studio..i mean its cool its just the akai mpc software on a pc with an expanded piano roll and vst support...no biggie but if you like mpc's and understand akai's language its obviously going to be familiar but fun and new.
