Mom's called me and said her gf backed out of a 5D/4N cruise to the bahamas on Royal Carribbean Allure Of The Seas outta Miami, asked me if I wanted the ticket, just had to pay my airfare and hotel. I was like :blessed: hell yea. We had a few more friends going as well. Had an absolute blast, Nassau was real nice although them stores sales peeps are more aggressive than '90's car salesmen. Royal's private island Coco Cay was beautiful, never seen anything like it. Got some team sand volleyball in, poolside chillin in the beach chairs, great food on the island. Most of our ship was hispanic and latino, never seen so much eye candy in my life, neck was on a constant swivel. I'm talking Salma Hayek bodied up types. On the ship I hit the gym, run track, sports deck, karaoke bars, night clubs, shows, buffets, etc.

We had 2 incidents, a 66 yr old lady jumped off the 14th deck and committed that, Coast Guard never found her. 0 chance you fall unless you are insanely drunk, the rails and glass behind them are chest high.

Also next to my stateroom security was posted up for the last 2 days of the cruise due to a fight in the next room.

Never realized these ships are floating cities, so much do and you are never bored. Now I wanna go on Royal's biggest ship Icon Of The Seas. Anybody else about that cruise life?

A few photos I took, a lot more in the photography thread (https://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-official-photography-thread.1046/page-854#post-54087648)

You take good photos, look like promo photos from RC.

I've only been on cruises as a kid, never as an adult. I imagine being on one as a single man has to be amazing. All the liquored up women on the ship with 0 inhibitions.:wow:

Been on over 20 all Carnival. I've heard the other cruise lines don't have any events at night like Carnival. Carnival has comedy shows, nightclubs, deck parties etc. How was the nightlife on Royal?

I did a cruise on the USS Nimitz. I'm done with anything on the water
People don't understand......that try to tell you that was work and this is fun.......it was fun for me:takedat:

I don't think I couldn't ever match the level of debauchery on land that I did at sea........it's something about being underway that them girls become different people.........royal carribbean could never:wow:

been On 25 since i was a kid,
the wife and i kept going after we got married to basically scout for an island or country to retire to.
if there was a port we liked, we would go stay a few weeks afterwards to get the feel and talk to the locals and ex-pats.
Mostly Carnival, but never been on a bad cruise
Stopped in December of 2019
Starting back Next December.
will not cruise as often, but will still go just to .......go

its fun - laziest vacation you can ever take.

just yesterday my travel agent friend was recommending me one on Virgin that is adults only she just got back from
which was ironic because my other friend had been invited me to go with them on that same cruise next year.
so it looks like that'll be my next cruise to Bimini which i haven't been to, and first adult only cruise which is cool because kids take up pool space.

What makes it a Taylor Swift themed cruise? Never been on a cruise before, ship look huge.

Honestly I didn't even find out she had a fanbase on the cruise until day 3. Ship is massive, nothing prepares you for seeing something like that. I recommend everyone do a cruise atleast once in their life.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I actually took my drone with me along with my camera, I wanted to get some aerials of Royal's island and the ship however there is strict policies again flying them from the ship and around the private islands.

It was amazing, more women than you can count in every direction. Most of them friendly and having fun.

Nice!!! You got a track record on that. Royal has all that as well, the comedy shows get filled up pretty quick, they had a few nightclubs that were jumpin, dj's on point. Most of the late night events ended around 2am. Was nice to grab a lawnchair during the day or night and just chill with the view of the ocean, relaxing AF.

That's cool. I'm definitely about to book some more destination cruise spots. Will have to check out Bimini. You are so right about the kids, they definitely take up the pool spots, although Royal had a kids section and plenty of pools around.
