um. why are you avoiding logic 9 which goes hand and hand with mac?
its probably the sickest DAW out.
get logic pro 9, its only 200$ and you can still use ableton.
And yes you can use you're typing keyboard as a virtual keyboard to play sounds on either one.
Then just use headphones or something.
any links?i actually did try to avoid it but i seen how large the files was for it. Also i was hearing the vst's does not work for it, but im willing to try it.
logic not only works with every vst on the market but it comes with plug ins that are better than most 3rd party shyt lol.
I actually feel kinda dumb for switching to pc (just bought an i7 laptop) but for the price compared to mac I just couldnt resist. Im running an entire spectronics studio. my mac couldnt deal with it. (the new ones can but im not pushing out 2gs.)

cant afford any hardware at the moment but is it possible to do without it until i do?
IDK, that Ableton live 9 looks crazy. You can turn ANY audio into midi files, and do cazy things with it. Check out this video, he turns his beatboxing into a drum beat just from the audio to midi tool you can do now. In essence you can sample something, and flip it anyway you want easily, with this new tool:
Go to 6:20, and 13:15

Adding the Push hardware to it, seems even better.
I tried Ableton live 8 lite (or whatever it's called) and I couldn't get paste the basic looking UI and the sequencer. But I don't see the need to jump over to logic. Just learn it and push yourself.
Plus Ableton got one of (if not) the best midi hardware support.
you're right, but Ableton seems to have a higher learning curve...the tutorials ive seen so far are crap, but ill keep playing with it. Im a reason/fl studio head so its a weird jump for me. Im still gonna see what logic is about tho![]()
