Jurassic Park 4 Canceled?
Today is a dark day for Jurassic Park fans, as it seems that Jurassic Park 4 could potentially be back in development hell... Already, two employees on the project have tweeted that JP4 is on hold. Read on for more info.
At first, Jurassic Park 4 concept artist tweeted: "JP4 On Hold"
Not good news at all. Another member involved with Jurassic Park 4's production tweeted: "Hollywood creates and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4"

Now, there has currently been no word from either JP4's director, Colin Trevorrow or one of Jurassic Park 4's producers, Frank Marshall about this situation. But two employees tweeting JP4 is dead is very unsettling.
Now, we have to ask ourselves, why? Why would Colin Trevorrow tweet a picture of the JP4 location scout on Hawaii, saying the fourth film takes place on Isla Nublar? And why would Frank Marshall reassure fans that all is well with JP4, if in fact, things were not? A project of this size does not simply get canceled over night.
So either both director and producers were kept out of the loop with what was going on with Jurassic Park 4 (which is ludicrous to assume), or they've known about Jurassic Park 4's situation and for some unknown reason wished to continue promoting the film's development.
Either way, we need some solid answers from people high up enough on the project to weigh in some serious legitimacy to this unfortunate news.
As angry as some of you may be to read this, it could be legitimate. We're hoping not, but in the event that these employees are speaking the truth about JP4's demise, then we want to know what you think.
UPDATE #1:
According to a potential email from Jurassic Park Paleontologist, Jack Horner, Jurassic Park 4 has been put on hold or canceled (still unknown which) due to both scripting problems and the decision by Universal Studios not wanting to compete with the release of both The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 3 in 3D. Still, no word from Frank Marshall, Universal or Colin Trevorrow however. Hopefully life will find a way and Jurassic Park 4 will defy these rumors and continue on with production...
UPDATE #2:
According to a recent Tweet by one of JP4's crew members, those working on JP4 have been let go as of today. This is what the individual had to say in reply to a fan asking if it was true that the film is on hold:
"it IS on hold but we were all let go today."
The news keeps getting worse and worse the more we learn. Still no word from Trevorrow or Marshall.
