the young prince of the city dropped his debut album fifteen years ago yesterday.

under shipped, under promoted, didn't do the numbers they wanted
but between the mixtape, the album and then the Dipset album, kid was bound to become a star.

great production and Juelz manoeuvring around the vocal samples lovely.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
This and Trap Muzik dropped the same day :wow:

Jealousy :wow:

Why:jbhmm:

Wherever I Go :ohlawd:

Rain Drops :mjcry:

How I Feel :damn: shoulda been longer

Went to Best Buy to cop both.

Momma used to make good food in the kitchen while i was in my room bumpin these LPs.

Good times as a youth...

:ohlawd:

15 years later and I still feel like that goofy 21 year old who was overly enamored with rap and button ups.

Funny how the only thing that's changed is my age and the sleeves are shorter.

I got this from someone's Get File that summer, when those EGO tagged rips were the hottest thing...Beyond it being Dip Set, and new "chipmunk samples that had taken over the production post Blueprint, I never got into it much, besides the singles, and "One Day I Smile". It really didn't hit heavy that summer, obviously in San Diego, but 50 had so much momentum then, and T.I, Santana kind of was pushed to the side.
