Jose Aldo accused Conor McGregor of taking PED's, and says he hides until fight week in Las Vegas so he can pass drug tests.

While Jose Aldo is set to rematch Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title at UFC 200, he is continuing his somewhat uncharacteristic smack talk towards Conor McGregor. On this latest bit, Aldo accused his former opponent of doping (again).

According to him, McGregor was juicing prior to UFC 196, when he was offered a late notice rematch.

"The fight was not at featherweight. Why would I rematch him in a different weight class with no belt?" Aldo told the assembled media as translated by MMA Fighting. "Now, to make this fight at 155, where he was full of juice in his body, where he hides and nobody tests him, only when he gets to Las Vegas, a week before the fight, and then it’s way easier for you to clean the body and fight. They offered the fight knowing that I wasn’t trained at all."

Aldo also went on to predict that Diaz will beat McGregor again on their rematch, and that maybe a second loss in a row forces him back down to featherweight.

"He will come back," Aldo said. "I don’t know if right after this fight, but he will. I don’t see how he gets too far even at lightweight. He won’t do well at lightweight either.

"Nate wins again," he said. "He’s used to this weight. It’s really hard to move up in weight and continue winning. It’s going to be different now that Nate will be more prepared. He can do his thing, anything he wants, from start to end. He can slap him, anything, because he will win. It can be faster this time. Nate will prepare, will have enough time, and it can be faster this time."

Aldo recently said that McGregor doesn't have power, calling him "soap hands".

Diaz's boxing coach also recently accused Conor of using performance enhancing drugs. Aldo on the other hand, was also involved in a drug testing fiasco that had them call the cops on a tester in Brazil.

Why is there going to be an interim champ at 145 though? :patrice: I thought mcgregor was gonna fight Edgar next

Conor was supposed to fight Edgar, but he wants to avenge his loss to Nate first. He's pretty much holding the 145lb division hostage. But, since he's the UFC's golden boy, they're obviously not going to strip him of his title. Instead, we get an interim title fight. The plan is to have Conor defend his FW title against the winner of Aldo/Edgar after his rematch with Nate. Bullshyt situation all around.

oh shyt I'm not that mad at that even though I wanted to see the mcgregor/Edgar fight. Is mcg/Diaz fight gonna be at 170 again or 155? If aldo gets fukked up by Edgar it might be start his downfall ala silva esque.

I've lost a lot of respect for Aldo over these past few months. First of all, he's calling McGregor pillow fisted yet he went night night from a single punch when they fought. Secondly, how are you going to accuse someone of hiding from drug tests when you had Brazilian authorities damn near arrest the motherfukker who was there trying to test you? That's some bytch shyt.

The only reason I respect McG's decision to rematch is because Mcgregor straight up knows how to fight, dude knows he has Dana sucking on his balls and uses that, but he also knows how fighting works, he predicted the outcome of his fights and actually knows what makes a good fight.

And Conor was showing some good boxing in the first match too, I think that's a good match-up to watch in general. Not sure who wins the rematch, I hope Conor realizes his chin isn't as good at 170 as it is at 145.
He does need to fight Aldo again eventually, and I'm sure Aldo's gonna get washed again.

Shut up, José. You already messed up. Should've taken the damn fight last minute instead of letting Diaz take it. McGregor's never coming back to 145 after fighting at 170 twice.

I would think he would want to fight the winner of aldo/Edgar cause it will have hype. He has to unify the belt too, unless he just gives it up which I don't see him doing. When is the mcg/Diaz rematch?

Can't tell if he's just a sore loser or if he feels he needs to do this because Connor runs thangs (via Zuffas permission) either way it's a far cry from the terror he was in his prime 7-6 years ago

McG/Diaz going down as main event in UFC200. Aldo is great. Cannot deny that but he didn't move the meter that much. Edgar is an amazing fighter but he doesn't move the meter at all. Aldo lost not only his belt but his platform to talk shyt after his loss just like the way McG can't talk shyt about the Diaz bros anymore. You lost. Go build yourself up and talk to someone else but you can't talk smack about someone that just tooled you.

It's like the guy that just got beat up and as the other guy walks away, he says "yea, you betta keep walking" :dahell:
