Yeah, don't they have a rivalry? I remember Maher shytting on that DC gathering Stewart did.
I think both are mildly amusing but not a huge fan of either. But I think I lean a bit more toward Maher.
Maher is just controversial enough to fill a void not seen on TV. He pisses enough of the "Left" off that he legitimizes viewpoints that do not point play into "being nice" on TV. I love it.
If he's down to call MFers out, i'm all with it. Stewart is a little too buddy-buddy with people.
They each have a lane, and I don't want to see them encroach on each other.
HBO is doing too much almost. Even moving Stewart to Showtime might have been worth it.

Oliver, Stewart and Simmons all have the same agent. Simmons will have his sport show, Oliver will have his current events show and Stewart will have short form HBONOW exclusive content. Plenty of room for all 3.
