Cleric Preston's gun kata was next level at the time. The deciding factor is his fighting prowess which pales in comparison to Wick. So I'm going with John Wick.

I'll always go with that gritty realistic fighting style over the sleek early 2000's slo mo kung fu fighting. Hell they also tried to make the gun fu in John Wick as gritty and realistic as possible. I found out that just the gun fighting style alone was a combined mix of Japanese jiu-jitsu, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, tactical 3-gun, and standing Judo.Hmm his sword play was good not sure if wick good. One of the worst movies I've ever seen, her deal was that she could kill about 20 people in a matter of seconds by spinning around faster?
Just an all around trash movie, complete letdown from the director of equilibrium. I've heard the unrated cut is better but I'm not about to give that's shyt second chance.

Gunkata while "cool" at the time, was all flash, nothing practical about it. My man is spinning in the middle of a long hallway, with automatic handguns, vs guys with rifles and armor....that level of kung fu is fine...bullshyt, but fine. Wick takes him out easily.

MMA trumps kung fu fighting every time. Not that there's anything wrong with that style tho.
