Saw the preview. Not a movie I’ll watch, so what kind of shady shyt is going on? That’s all I was interested in. So yes, spoilers, please.
the detective in charge's son was the cause of it all. He was simping on old girl and was catfishing her, when he sorta came clean, he panicked and knocked her off a cliff.
Calls police mom to help fix it.
Pops calls cops after daughter missing and detective takes charge and manipulates some events to keep him away.
He figures some shyt on his own and exposes the cop

What was all the money transferring about?
dude who was catfishing her, pretended to be some broad in Pittsburgh who's mom was in the hospital...so she withdrew money to venmo to "her" to help with medical bills...once that happened is when the dude cracked and wanted to come clean, so he found where she was at, and she got scared, starting to run, that's when he accidently pushed her down the cliff and started the chain of events for the movie
