John Cena's TMNT Character revealed, Rey Mysterio injury update, Paige at Slamfest 2018

John Cena represented Nickelodeon at their Upfront presentation at the Palace Theater in New York City on Tuesday morning. As noted, Cena will be hosting the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2018 for the second consecutive year. He will also be executive producing a new Keep It Spotless game show for Nickelodeon and will be playing a villain in the new Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series that is scheduled to premiere on Nickelodeon this fall. Featured below is the first look of Cena's "Baron Draxum" character for the new TNMT series.

According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider, Rey Mysterio is believed to have suffered a partially torn bicep, instead of a complete tear while wrestling for an independent promotion this past weekend.

-- While the exact severity of the injury has to be confirmed, Mysterio did meet with doctors earlier this week and was able to move his arm in ways which would seem to eliminate a complete tear.

-- In more positive news, the report also states that the sudden injury will not affect his ongoing negotiations with WWE as the company is still interested in his services and the two sides are working towards a deal which could potentially be finalized shortly.

Paige noted via social media that she is currently on tour with the band Attila, alluding to the fact that she will not be appearing with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville at this weekend's WWE live events.

PW Insider reports that WWE is getting ready to tape footage of the "Ultimate Deletion" match between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt today at the Hardy Compound in Cameron, NC.

-- While not confirmed, the match is expected to incorporate many of the elements that the Hardys taped in similar segments when they were with TNA/Impact. It is also unknown if any of the other Hardy characters such as Senor Benjamin, Reby Hardy, King Maxel and even Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy) would be appearing but with Matt owning all the trademarks, any appearances by these individuals is possible.

-- Jeff meanwhile is expected to gain final clearance from WWE doctors later this month so any physical activity in the match might not happen, but it would not prevent him from appearing in a non-physical role. There is also a chance that Matt goes full "broken" either during or following this match, which is expected to air on an upcoming Raw

WWE is internally moving ahead with the idea that Brock Lesnar is leaving the company and heading to UFC and so they are attempting to downplay this development so that if/when it does happen, it won't seem as big of a deal.

-- The plan is to create a situation where instead of feeling disappointed that one of the company's biggest stars is leaving WWE, fans will instead celebrate his departure. The way the company hopes this will happen is by portraying Brock as someone who doesn't care about the business or the fans.

-- This would not only lessen his impending departure, but at the same time, will hopefully generate a giant babyface reaction for Roman Reigns as being the wrestler to beat him and send him packing to UFC. However, when they tried doing something similar three years ago, Lesnar ended up staying and was the most popular wrestler on the roster while Reigns turned into one of the most hated.
