Being a public figure doesn't even matter in this instance from a legal standpoint, it's in public so it's legally fair game.

BUT just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I've never understood celebrity culture. Just leave people the fukk alone. I'd never be able to cut it in that celebrity lifestyle. I'd have to wear a disguise everywhere I go so people would leave me alone. I'd probably end up becoming a hermit and only going out only when there was no other option.

Man the thing is if you play it cool you could get a chance to say what up and leave it at that or even catch a pic with them if they waited until they were about to leave. Putting celebs on blast never ends well.
I feel like if you really feel compelled to say something you could just walk by casually, be like "Hi Cena" or "Hi Cena, love your work!" then just keep on walking. You know, just show some common decency. He seems like a chill guy, so he might even say back hi and thanks once he realizes you aren't going to be hovering around to badger him.
