The West has

Kendrick
Nipsey
Tyler the Creator
School boy q
YG
Absoul
Vince
Roddy Rich
Baby Keem

They have put out better quality music than any of those east coast artist you listed. fukk all the chart shyt and if you want to take it there none of them have put numbers up like Tyler, Kendrick and YG if we keeping it 💯. With the exception of Nicki and Cardi. Like I said Joey gotta come with something harder if he going at the west.
Everybody on there shyt trash aside from Tyler the creator.

And you putting a dead nikka on there is comical. fukk out outta here lil nikka.

To be fair I'm one of the biggest Crook fans here, so I won't even participate in the debate about his music or skills, I've been doing it since :hamster: days so I've done my part, lol

However, he is very active on twitter / debates hip hop there almost daily/weekly so him talking about this isn't exactly news worthy. Not to mention he's been riding for West Coast longer than some of these artists have been alive. He was one of the few art*tsts who was defending Pac when Flex was talking shyt about him some years ago.

Not to mention he actually referenced the 22 Two's line in his own verse a few years back:

"...I'm so West Coast I'm still thinking about taking a shot at
Jay for that line in "22 Two's"

There’s no lyrical challenge whatsoever in challenging anyone in the South except maybe Cole and Cole already bowed out of any and all competition. Joey Badass and 90% of New York MC’s would slaughter anyone poppin in the South. Joey seems like he wants to COMPETE and the King of The Hill right now, lyrically, critically, and culturally is Kendrick Lamar. Not to mention Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, and some would say Tyler. The Westcoast seems to be putting an emphasis on CRAFT in a way that the South doesn’t. Joey ain’t scoring no points sparring with the likes of Future or Gunna. Quavo couldn’t even put up a good fight against Chris Brown, a fukking junkie r&b singer! Lil Baby was copping pleas for even having his name mentioned in a beef song talking about he doesn’t like “that part of rap”.
Krit would compete. Sauce Walka too.

Anyways yeah idk if much comes from this. The people out here that would throw their hat in the ring is mostly upstate 30+ year old Griselda + affiliates. It's crazy that it's really a bunch of millennials keeping the cultural side of the art alive lol. The kiddos (<25) don't care about this shyt, so until they prove us otherwise it's kinda eh.
