Dudes love multi-syllables man, 😂😭. Crooked I is ehh to me too, he don’t be saying nothing slick or weighty, just rhyming to rhyme, nigs trapped in 2002. Music is dookie too, 🤮. The older I got, the more clear it was that Joe Budden was/is way better than all them other nigs in Slaughterhouse, on all fronts.
Joe is better than Joel, but thats about it

Nah, better than Crook too, not with the multis and all that of course...he was pretty much holding up the rear or running right in front of Joell for the most part in the group setting.

And while he's not better than Royce individually, within the group context, they only really worked well when the followed Joe's lead.

Naw Joey, that ain't it.

If he would have said... "Too much down South dikklicking" it would have made more sense. Overall the South has been running sh*t for a minute now.

California will always be a thorn in New Yorks side because of the way the West Coast stole New Yorks shine in the early and mid 90's. New Yorkers will never forget it. LOL

Joey is just trying to get some attention. He wants to be in the mix with Kendrick, Drake and J Cole but Joey's just not good enough. LOL

Which of one these Southern artists are rapping? No one's thinking about Gunna, Thug, Future, and Baby in that light.

This is about competition not sales or streams.

And no NY ain't thinking about the West. You forgot they fell out of the mainstream as well.

Crook's catalog is underrated as far as being a writer, definitely a complete emcee. Breh isnt just multi's.

Naw lol we’re just trying to party, trap, and vibe out

Leave us out of this

I rock with all coasts and region though.

I do wander when someone new is gonna wanna be a lyricist and rap to be the best rapper alive like Tip and Wayne was though

I didn't say that, just saying he's the BEST in that respect, and that was really the reason why they came together, to bar out.

But that only works for sporadic outings. When it comes to the great songs they have togehter, they sound like Mood Muzik. Joe could bar out (not as good as Royce or Crook) and provide substance, he was the most balanced artist out of that collective, at the time at least, Royce has gotten more well rounded since then I feel like.

Fair enough/i can see that

I know Royce put together a bunch of the content driven tracks. Him and joe/him and crook were tied with having the best chemistry to me

This is a hard convo because Steez died when he was still a teen, but I think from a rapping standpoint Steez was one of the greatest writers/lyricists ever. Obviously its hard to put him above rappers with fully fleshed out catalogs but what he wrote in his short time is incredible. Also, Joey is great but simply will never be on Steez's level imo. Very few are.

Obviously Joey has a much bigger discog and better from a music standpoint, but rapping its not close

If Joey going to take the mantle for the east he going to have to come harder than that. I respect competing but nikka you hear the shyt the west is coming with and this nikka got this dusty boom bap beat. nikka need to hit up Cash Cobain for a beat.
