Anyway, I listened to the whole review. It was obnoxious. I don't like raw onions. So I don't order food that has them as a topping. And I don't order it on purpose, and then yell at Sweetheart about how I didn't like it. Corny is a valuable resource as a historian of the business. But when it comes to the new stuff, he's completely out of step.

It's amazing that as old school as Cornette is when it comes to professional wrestling, he's extremely progressive with politics. Context may not have sounded right, but he's been a staunch defender of gay rights on Twitter and regularly shyts on Republicans. I think he recognized the context might not have sounded great after the fact with this:

Out of context, I can see how someone who was looking for a reason to be mad would be mad.
However, as someone who enjoyed the whole show, that battle royale made a TON of assumptions about the audience's knowledge of everyone involved. I understand that you can't tell everyone's story in the time allotted, but you can throw a couple lines out to at least summarize the people with the most important or unique stories.
A quick mention of Sonny Kiss' background would've gone a long way to establishing who she (Sonny Kiss uses feminine pronouns, right?) is, instead of just having them come off as a generic exotico.
I disagree with most of what he said but the shyt is humorous, he is very outdated plus has personal agendas/bias.

Even as someone who is cool with all this and tries to be respectful, it's confusing. shyt changes on a dime, and folks are READY to get at you for being disrespectful, when in most cases people just didn't know.
My understanding is that Sonny Kiss isn't trans, but they just want people to use feminine pronouns when referring to them. For all I know, I could be wrong as shyt.
