People expect politicians to be perfect. As long as they're not Trump, then they should get your backing. Being unrealistic and withholding your vote or voting for Jill Stein for the slim chance that the American government might change their mind is not only futile but it's also dangerous

I get why you feel like this due to there really being a lot of corruption in politics, and how some politicians seem more interested in power or money than helping people *cough* Kyrsten Sinema *cough*. But saying none of them are trustworthy or out to do good isn't really true or fair. There are good people out there, like Summer Lee, who's been fighting for workers, Black communities, and other marginalized groups, or Rashida Tlaib, who's been pushing for environmental justice and standing up for everyday people despite facing tons of backlash. Another one is Raphael Warnock, who's been working to expand healthcare and fight for voting rights in the Senate. I would have included Cori Bush too, but those corrupt elements pushed her out. The system's got serious issues, but not everyone in it is bad. There are still politicians out there genuinely trying to make a difference.
Jill Stein is a complete fraud, and I think we need to address that directly, rather than glossing over it with broad statements about politics in general.
If you truly believe that nobody gets in politics to do good you’ve got to be the most cynical person on the planet or a colossal dumbass. Plenty of people do. They just change.
