JESSE HART SHREDS J. LEON LOVE OVER RECENT PERFORMANCE: "HE WENT FROM PAY-PER-VIEW, TO SHOWTIME, TO NO TIME"

He keeps saying I'm an 8-round fighter and he would have taken a pay cut fighting me. No! I'm gonna say the guy's name. J. Leon Love, you just fought in an 8-round fight. Don't keep saying I'm an 8-round fighter because you just fought in an 8-round fight, got cut, and went the distance with a guy you were supposed to knock out. Don't send for me unless I come for you. Don't say that. At the end of the day, on May 2nd, I'm fighting in a 10-round fight for two belts, USBA and NABO, on the biggest card of the year. So you're telling people you're not going backwards? You just went backwards. You went way back. You fought a 10-rounder and now you back to 8-rounders. The difference between me and J'Leon Love is, I'm moving up from 8 and now I'm fighting my first 10. I heard once you fight 10 and 12 rounders, you're not supposed to go backwards. It's all fun and games, but you don't call someone an 8-round fighter and then fight in a 8-round fight and you just took a pay cut. This dude cut him with a left hook. You have to be mindful of what comes out of your mouth. Nobody even knew he was fighting on March 28. He didn't even put it up himself because he felt embarrassed because he put his own foot in his mouth when he called me a 8-round fighter. He put his own foot in his mouth. That was a rookie comment by a guy that is supposed to be a veteran. If anything, he should have said, "I'm ranked higher than Jesse Hart, so he gonna have to fight his way up to get to me." I just gave him free game on what his answer should have been. You can't criticize someone for fighting 8-round fights and then go and do an 8-rounder. That's not smart.
And the thing, Perc, is this, he had to know this 8-round fight he just fought was on the table for him when he did the video saying he didn't want to fight me because I was a 8-round fighter. He had to know because I'm sure his promotional company notified him ahead of time. Floyd or Leonard Ellerbe will never let him take a fight on 2 to 3 weeks notice. That's a dog meat guy. A fighter that will take a fight on that short of notice is a dog meat guy. Floyd is smarter than that and Leonard Ellerbe is smarter than that and the guys over at Mayweather Promotions is smarter than that. They not throwing a guy coming off of a knockout loss in on 2 to 3 weeks notice, so when he was doing that video about me, he knew he had an 8-rounder on the table for himself. I calculate everything. They wouldn't do that to him after a knockout loss. He was training for this 8-rounder when he said he wouldn't fight me because I'm a 8-round fighter. These guys just don't think. They just talk out of their mouth when a camera is in front of them to try to justify something and try to come back verbally. You can't match words with me. He got knocked out. I don't need him; he needs me. You got knocked out. You gotta prove to the people that you still got the goods. I'm knocking people out. My last 3 opponents, I put to sleep. Samuel Miller, he had 25 knockouts. I put him to sleep. So why wouldn't you want to fight a guy like Jesse Hart to get yourself right back in contention? Why wouldn't you want to fight a guy who has a name and is credible getting ready to fight a guy who is 16-0? That would get his name back where it needs to be, but like I said, I don't need him. He is the one that needs me. He got knocked out; I didn't. When I seen the thing about the 8-round comment, I just had to address it. At the end of the day, it's levels to this boxing thing. You took levels down. He went down some levels. He fought for a title in a 10-rounder on a Mayweather undercard, I think the Guerrero fight; Periban or Rosado was his opponent. Then he fought on another Mayweather card against... that was Periban on the Mayweather-Maidana I card. Then you came back on Showtime, fought in a 10-round fight, got knocked out, and then you just fought in an 8-round fight off TV. You gotta understand these things. I just broke his career down. What are you talking about pay cuts? You took two pay cuts.
He would have come out better saying he needed a tune-up fight, then he would fight me. Hell Perc, he would have come out better calling me a tune-up. "I need a tune-up fight. I'll fight Jesse Hart." I would have respected that more. He could have come back with that, but these guys don't think. Plus he know the skills that I have, so he can't call me a tune-up. So he thought, "Let me not say he's a tune-up. Let me try to defuse the situation by bringing up money and saying I don't wanna take a pay cut." Then you make yourself look like an oxymoron by fighting a 8-round fight. I don't get it, Perc. Charlo and Martirosyan made it on TV; why wasn't you on TV? You just fought on pay-per-view. You going all the way back. You taking steps back, but you want to talk about it's levels to this. He's taking 2 steps forward and 8 steps back. What are you doing, kid? These dudes need PR work. Leonard Ellerbe should've told him something. Nobody knew Love was fighting on March 28th. He didn't even put it up. I went and found that he was fighting. I had guys out there with him watching the fight that told me how he got cut and he struggled with the guy. That's what I was told. He is washed up. Who needs J'Leon Love? His name shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as mine. He went from pay-per-view, to Showtime, to no time!
