One day, a major fight breaks out in a building I was working (as a jailer). It was over fast and I didn't get to the fight scene before other deputies got there.
This older white guy, who kept to himself and was quite scrawny, got sucker punched before a group meeting. He got knocked down and then his head slammed into some concrete steps. They knew he was in for child molestation and so did the deputies (we have access to legal records of inmates). There wasn't that much in they way of, "Aw, why did he get beat up for no reason. He was such a nice guy." He got to spend some time out of the jail while getting medical attention at a hospital.
