Jdub is looking a future superstar to me honestly. elite at everything, i literally can’t see a flaw in his game. Nice handle and change of pace. Great shooter. Great mid range. Can finish. Big SG and can defend at an elite level. On top of it all he’s a B level playmaker with potential to be even better. He’s smart as fukk man and he’s always trying move the ball and be efficient with every move. Really fukk with his game.

We taking him over Ant?

If there was one flaw I could nitpick is that he doesn't really have a killer mentality. I think he could be a lot more aggressive with how he approaches scoring; he can be a bit tentative at times instead of making shyt happen. During the Dallas series last season was a prime example of this when they needed someone other than Shai to step up and he faded in and out of the contest.

You could put that down to growing pains given it was his first playoff run. We'll see if he steps it up this postseason.

I agree he faded in Dallas. I think he lost his confidence because his offense was just shaky to start. Something got him off his rhythm. But I actually think he does have a killer mentality. He’s the type of dude who only cares about hoops and winning. He probably still defers more than he needs to, and isn’t the same killer as someone like Ant or Ja. But He’s got it IMO.

He's a great player and seems to be adding stuff to his game every year which is something I always look for. After his first year he talked about trying to get to free throw line more and how 6-10 extra shots a game is gonna make him a 20 ppg type player and he did that. Then last year it was ball handling/playmaking and he became their 1B ball handler and playmaker when SGA needed a break or was on the bench. Seems like this year is just about making everything as consistent as possible but the team is really built so well that he doesn't have to try and do anything he isn't elite at on this team.

Right now he's playing at or above a Jaylen Brown level. For that type of player (bonafide all star but not exactly a superstar) to reach the next level, they gotta decide what path they want to take: a scoring pg/big guard (ala SGA, Luka, LaMelo) or a pure scoring mercenary (ala Kobe, KD, Kawhi, etc).

The former involves really ironing out your facilitation skills and understanding of pace. The latter is more about perfecting your kill zone areas and having a "idgaf" mentality. The latter is where i think he should be.

With OKC, him and Chet don't want to step on each other's toes as the 2a/2b guys and don't really want to demand the ball either, even when their role players (Dort) is throwin up bullshyt. They'll have to figure out that syngergy

But will OKC pay him when is time to? Their fan base already getting pstd about their original big3. he’s hitting that Harden stride.
HAHAHA. Bro I want to steal him so bad from the Thunder. Would fit great for us and I think he'd be the missing piece.

But naw he's perfect for them.

Yea, for the Thunder they need him to be a scoring mercenary bc SGA gon play 40mpg as point guard come playoff time anyway.

But for us, a big guard serving as a legit scoring pg is exactly what Ime needs. Doubt lighting would strike twice between us tho

You never know. Presti can only do what ownership allows. And last time this happened , they literally broke up and changed the trajectory of the next decade of NBA all by trading away Harden over 4 million.

You have to believe they would’ve made that back over revenue but the spreadsheet wasn’t I their favor I guess

You have to yes and worry about the rest later.

Unlike the original Big3 era, they have a a shytload of draft picks they can use to build around them and help fill in the gaps.

He can literally be as good as he wants to be, it will come down to how good he is at honing his focus. 0 physical or skill flaws.

The only people worried about this is people rooting for other teams & basing it off some shyt a decade+ ago when literally every team was in a panic over the luxury tax because it was new.

They were a top spending team during the PG years & people still talking about what happened in 2012. It will also help that there won't be a new CBA right when their paying JDub & Chet that adds new rules & screws up everything.
