It's funny, because the JBL character from Smackdown was basically what Trump wanted people to think he was: a brash, white self-made businessman who, while largely ambivalent to black people and their issues, virulently disliked Mexico, immigration and probably just all Mexican people in general. It was the brand Trump ran on. We had proof that Trump definitely has issues with black people despite all of his arguments to the contrary, so that shyt wasn't gonna work, but he pretty much was going for that image.
