Being the biggest rapper in 1996 doesn’t mean shyt 10 or 20 years later :mjlol:

For the record it’s the same for any genre. Alan Morrissette was a phenom in 1995-1996(I think her album sold like 30 million copies or some shyt) where they fukk is she selling now :mjlol:
Fuking hell breh … of course pac and big would have fell off at some point or gone another route like acting etc jay z stil relevant yes but he’s still not on top … it’s impossible for that to happen…. I wasn’t talking about the leap for 10 + years …. I was stating facts that you’re wrong about jay z been the biggest rapper in 96 …. 96 was pacs year n that’s facts not no dam jay -z …. U must be a teenager or something jay z in 96 was looked at as biggies lil side kick ….jay didn’t really blow til both pac and big were killed….

Nah again you’re moving the goalpost. You said ‘He woulda washed out by now’. That has a clear connotation to overall success, not just folk who no longer drop music. You wouldn’t say Ice cube is washed out, or Dr Dre washed out, or will smith washed out :aicmon: That’s something you say about a Keith Murray, or a Ras Kass. Someone who is not newsworthy at all. You said it like Pac would be a reoccurring guest on Vladtv right now:beli:
Because Everyone aside from Jay Z is washed and either not dropping or dropping flopped albums
If you’re talking strictly popularity then remember how HUGE Snoop and Dre were in the 90s.. by 96 Pac had lapped both in popularity..he was on fire and just getting started.. no way he cools off in 2-3yrs for Jay Z or anyone else to touch him or even get close to ending him. .. he is still getting talked about now after being dead 30yrs.. if he was walking around now I’d argue he be even more popular and relevant..he wouldn’t just be off somewhere chilling.
Being talked about and being one of the biggest current rappers is two different things

The facts are that no rapper who was bigger than Jay Z in 1996 is bigger than him today when it comes to music :mjlol:

“I was more popular than Jay Z in 1996 when he was Indy so I’d be more popping then him in 2013” is dumbass logic :mjlol:

:what:

You don’t address dead nggas period. That doesn’t make it even.

Also, that ‘bumpin Makaveli’ was a different version. The version I posted was updated and more vulgar/direct

I also ‘left out’ all sauce moneys lines…’automatic rhyme spot 4 shot towards his attic’…’i heard his body was too hot to get near it, too late to hear it, two slugs wait to release his spirit

:mjtf:
That shyt that Sauce said had nothing to do with Pac.

Wrong analogy. It's more like a champion fighter calling out a nikka that hasn't even had his first pro fight yet. You're trying to get into his head and unsettle him because you know he's gonna be a problem.

Bingo..

At the end of the day, Jay became big as Pac through hard work and maintaining industry relationships.
