I'm just now getting on their shyt and what's hilarious to me is in my early 20s, circa 2010 I'm 20-21, I was jetting between both coasts from Sacramento to VA and NC, and I can remember a distinct conversation with my mom where I referred to my Damus as "my Whoopsters"...
I had a homie who referred to the Rus as "the Ru'sters". My mom is an old Oak Park Blood from the 80s, this is 2010. And she specifically said to me "what the fukk is a 'whoopster'"?

and I just told her that's us, had her on speaker too and the homies were just laughing...
I swear to God I thought it was a phrase I came up with, and it wasn't deep, we Bloods, we suwhooping, we the whoopsters

...
Fast forward 14 years and a click of LA Bloods dropped the "ster" but call themselves the Whoops, and these guys are all likely around my age too. Which just tells me other cats our age were referring to ourselves the same...
So I'm fukking with The Whoops just off nostalgia alone

they can rap though, I'm fukking with it!
